Previous work includes time spent as an Independent Consultant for [[ICANN]]'s [[Variant Issues Project]] (VIP), and work at [[Afilias]] from 2001 to 2008. During this time he was integral to implementing the [[.info]] TLD and the take over of [[registry]] functions for [[.org]].  Andrew Sullivan worked as an Internet Scientist at [[Shinkuro, Inc.]] from 2008 to 2011; the company was co-founded and is run by Internet pioneer and [[ICANN Board]]'s current Chair, [[Steve Crocker]].
