Flip Petillion has been handling court litigations and arbitrations for nearly 30 years in the areas of intellectual property, information technology, media & entertainment, Internet, fashion, art, postal services, telecom, energy, construction & real estate, the automotive industry, aviation, and aerospace. He represents the Intellectual Property Constituency in the Non-Contracted Party House of the GNSO Council.[1]

Since October 2017, Petillion has been the Managing Partner at the law firm Petillion. Since January 2016, he has been a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, focusing on climate change-related disputes. Since May 2006, he has been a chairman and party-appointed arbitrator in IP disputes for WIPO. Since December 2016, he has been a visiting lecturer at Leuven University.
He acts as an arbitrator for the National Arbitration Forum, the International Trademark Association, and Cepani.
From 2008 to 2017, he worked at Crowell & Moring LLP as the Intellectual Property and International Disputes Resolution Partner.[2]

Petillion has been a GNSO councilor since August 2018. For over ten years, he has been a member of the ICC IP Commission and has contributed to the last three editions of the ICC IP Road Map.
