Göran Marby is the CEO and President of ICANN. Prior to his position with ICANN, Marby was the Director General at the Swedish Post & Telecom Agency in Stockholm, Sweden. Prior to accepting the position of ICANN CEO and President, Göran spent over six years serving as the Director General of Swedish Post and Telecom Agency (PTS), which monitors the electronic communication and postal sectors in Sweden. [4] During his tenure, Marby collaborated with international organizations and standards bodies.

Before his tenure with PTS, Marby founded and served as the CEO of Appgate, a Swedish security software company. He grew the company from the ground up, to a global organization serving customers in 35 countries.

Prior to founding Appgate, Göran spent almost three years as the CEO of Cygate AB, one year as country manager of Cisco in Sweden, and two years as CEO of TelioSonera.[5]
