Lucas Roh is a computer scientist, and one of the founding partners of hostway Corp; he is also its president and CEO. The company is based in Chicago and provides cloud, managed hosting as well as reliable, secure and scalable infrastructure-as-a-services (IaaS) solutions to its clients worldwide.[1]

Personal Background

Lucas was born in South Korea. At the age of 13, his family emigrated to the United States and settled in Chicago. As a kid, he was inquisitive and oftentimes took things apart to learn how they work. His curiosity led him to become a computer scientist.[2]

Awards

In 2003, Lucas Roh was one of seven executives who received the 20th Annual KPMG Illinois High Tech Awards.[6] The Chicago Hall of Fame also recognized him as Chicago’s Young Business Leader in 2004.[7]

Education

Lucas holds a Doctorate Degree in Computer Science from Colorado State University (1995), and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Physics from the University of Chicago (1988).[8]
