IGF 2016, the 11th annual IGF meeting, was held in Jalisco, Mexico.

It was the first IGF meeting after the United Nations' General Assembly renewed its mandate at the WSIS +10 High Level Event in 2015.[1]
Theme[edit | edit source]
The main theme was "Enabling Inclusive and Sustainable Growth". [2] The forum featured dialogues and debates surrounding the following themes, among others:
- Internet and Sustainable Development
- Access and Diversity;
- Youth and Gender Issues
- Human Rights and Freedom of Expression Online
- Cybersecurity
