Marco Schmidt is currently the Policy Development Officer (PDO) of RIPE NCC.

Marco works as PDO since 2013. In this role he manages and promotes the RIPE community Policy Development Processes (PDP). Further he analyses the impact of proposed and existing policies and evaluates policy trends from the RIPE region and beyond. He also supports the implementation of accepted policies into RIPE NCC procedures and workflow.

Marco also delivers RIPE NCC training courses to Local Internet Registries (LIR) in the RIPE NCC’s service region (Europe, the Middle East and parts of Central Asia).

Prior to joining the RIPE NCC, he worked at a technical helpdesk for a global network company.
