Ivan Vargas Chaves is a Board member for Colombia at ColorIURIS IEA.[1] He is also an advisory board member of the Legal Issues Journal of the University of Rosario and the Journal of Tort Law.[2]

Career History

Mr. Chaves has worked in the public and private sector and specializes in complex corporate litigation, contract law, international trade and intellectual property matters. [3][4]

His most recent position was working as a national coordinator of a major contract logistics company, foreign trade and transport.[5]

Mr. Vargas has been a Junior Associate at Marrugo, Rivera & Asociados, which is a law firm in Portugal. He was also a Junior Legal Counsel at Munoz (Sole Proprietorship).[6] He is also an advisory board member of the Legal Issues Journal of the University of Rosario and the Journal of Tort Law.[7]

Education

He hold a B.H. in Political and Economic Sciences from Colegio Carlos Arturo Torres and a J.D. from Universidad del Rosario. He studied French private law at Sorbonne University, Paris; International Law at Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He has a postgraduate degree course in arbitration and mediation in intellectual property disputes from WIPO.[8]

He also holds a diploma in Research Methods and Diploma in Conciliation law.[9]
