Maarten Botterman is the Director of GNKS Consult BV.^[1] He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and was the interim CEO, at the Public Interest Registry.^[2] PIR is responsible for managing the .ORG domain.

He is also a member of the Permanent Stakeholders Group of the European Network and Information Security Agency.^[3]
