UnderConstruction.png João Damas is the Senior Strategic Accounts Manager at ISC. His responsibilities include coordinating root server operations, BIND, and related policies, as well as business development.[1] He is also the Technical Contact at ISC.[2] He is a member of ICANN's RSSAC and NomCom, and also participates in ISOC, RIPE, and ESNOG.[3] He is the RIPE EOF/Plenary Coordinator and Chair RIPE Routing wg at RIPE.[4]

João has contributed to RFC 4012 and RFC 5358. Mr. Damas can speak English, Portuguese, Spanish and Dutch.

Industry Participation

He attends IETF[5] ISOC[6] ICANN Meetings[7][8] and other Industry related events.[9] Mr. Damas actively participates in ISC events.[10][11]

Education

He holds an MSc in Quantum Chemistry from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and a BSc in Physical/Quantum Chemistry from the same University.[13]
