Philip S. Corwin is a Founding Principal at VirtuaLaw LLC; he founded the company over a decade ago and in that time he has also worked as a Partner at Butera & Andrews,[1] as the Counsel for InternetCommerce.org, and Of Counsel for Greenberg & Lieberman, LLC.[2][3][4][5][6] Currently, Philip is principally engaged through VirtuaLaw LLC. According to a Press Release of March, 2011, Corwin is joining Greenberg & Lieberman, LLC in Of Counsel capacity.[7]

Corwin has more than thirty years of experience in the legal industry.[8] He specialises in bankruptcy, financial services, intellectual property, and electronic commerce law.[9] His clients have included Information Technology Association of America, First Virtual Holdings, PenOp, MP3.com, CenterSpan Communications, Sharman Networks Limited (Kazaa), and the Internet Commerce Association.

Before Corwin joined Buerta & Andrews, he was a Government Relations Director at the American Bankers Association. He was also a member of the United States Senate professional staff.

He is also a member of many American Bar Association Committees. He has also served as the Chairman of the Business Law Section’s Committee on Legislation.

He was admitted to law practice in Massachusetts in 1975; District of Columbia in 1976; US Supreme Court in 1994.[10]

Mr. Corwin was a speaker at a workshop about domain name tasting at an ICANN meeting in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has served in ICANN's Business Constituency and Registration Abuse Policy Working Group.[11]
