From 2004-2006, Joe worked at ISC, where he had the responsibility of the architecture and operation of ISC's networks in California and in the twenty F root nameserver nodes distributed around the world, many of which he helped install. While he was at ISC, he taught at workshops and tutorial in many parts of the world.[2] He has also worked at Metromedia Fiber Network (now, again, AboveNet) and Clear Communications Limited (now TelstraClear).
