Krishna Kumar is a Masters student at the Hertie School of Governance, focusing his work on Internet governance and policy. He represented the Internet Society as their ambassador at the 10th UN Internet Governance Forum. He participated in the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) as a fellow (51) and mentor (53). His other fellowships include the Next Generation Leaders programme (NGL- ISOC), New Media Summer School & European dialogue on Internet governance (EuroDIG), European Summer School on Internet Governance (EuroSSIG) and Amazon Fellow to the 11th UN Internet Governance Forum.
He currently serves as the secretary of the Internet Society Chennai Chapter.
Krishna Kumar received his M.Sc with first class and distinction in electronic media from the College of Engineering Guindy. During his graduate years, he was elected as the assistant cultural secretary at the student association and arts society and as the general secretary of the society of media scientists.
Prior to entering academia, he worked as a media consultant with the Omnicom Media Group and collaborated with corporate and government bodies to plan and execute digital media campaigns.

Krishna holds a Masters Degree in Electronic Media from the College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, with specializations in Advance Journalism and Integrated Marketing Communication. In 2013, he completed the ISOC Next Generation Leaders Learning Programme on Shaping the Internet - History and Futures.
