Chris LaHatte is the current ICANN Ombudsman, a position he has held since July, 2011.[1] Prior to this, he was a Barrister for 33 years. His role in ICANN is centered around dispute resolution.[2] He is a member of Building Adjudicators, a Fellow of AMINZ in Mediation and Arbitration, an editor for Brookers District Court Procedure, and a Costs Assessor and Mediator for the New Zealand Law Society in Auckland and Wellington.[3]
His hobbies include enjoying his MGF sports car.[4]

Education
Mr. LaHatte holds a Master of Management in Dispute Resolution from the Massey University.[6] He did LLB from the University of Auckland.[7]
