Scott Schnell is the Senior Vice President of Marketing, Strategy and Business Development at Verisign. His responsibilities include managing the overall strategic direction of the company, fostering new business initiatives, managing key business partnerships and leading Verisign’s marketing worldwide.[1] He joined Verisign in August, 2012. He also acts as an advisor to a number of tech start-ups, and has a currently inactive personal consulting business.

He has experience at all levels of business development, from founding new ventures and leading them to commercial success, to driving global sales, services and marketing in a publicly traded company.[2]

Career History

Mr. Schnell is the co-founder of VideoIQ, Inc., and he served as president and CEO until joining Verisign. The company specializes in video analytics. Other previous experience includes a notable tenure at RSA security, where he served as senior vice president of sales, services and marketing at RSA security, leading the company to record revenue and successfully rebranding RSA and its parent company into the single RSA brand. He was promoted numerous times while at RSA, and was integral in breaking revenue for his divisions and the company as a whole throughout his tenure there.[3] Schnell has also held senior level positions in marketing and sales at Apple and Photonics Corporation.
