Paul is experienced in the Internet governance industry and in the Internet Service Provider area.[2] His company, EGATE Networks, is an internet hosting and connectivity provider that offers a wide variety of services from web application development to domain name registration services and collocated web hosting and the first provider in Toronto to offer native IPv6 services in Toronto.[3] Paul is also involved with egateDOMAINS, one of Canada's largest domain name registrars.

Mr. Andersen is the current Chairman of the Canadian Internet Registration Authority Board of Directors, and has been a member of the board since 2000. He is also a member of American Registry for Internet's Board of Trustees since 2010 and currently acts as its Treasurer, and is also a member of ICANN. Education

Paul Andersen holds a BASc in Computer Engineering from University of Toronto and is a licensed member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario.[5]
