Roy Dykes is a product management and development technology professional the current Senior Product Manager at Neustar Inc. He leads operations and the product cycle development for TLD services.
He participates in ICANN's Registry Stakeholder Group (RySG), where he is currently a part of the Registrar Accreditation Agreement Onboarding Improvements Working Group, and Inter Registrar Transfers Policy Working Group. He was also formerly on the RySG's Charter Drafting Team.[1]
Career Achievements
Mr. Dykes has held positions at Altcatel-Lucent, Xerox Corporation, Verizon, KitchenAid/Whirlpool, and elsewhere. In 2008, after successfully launching a new line of specialty products and filling out Whirlpool's product portfolio, Roy Dykes moved to Network Solutions. Here he managed innovation and launched an online community for web professionals. Whilst in this position he effectively coordinated a remote team of writers and bloggers, and delivered a 15% increase from online engagement. His projects included a $4 million custom website and he drove increased net cash up 30% by leading website redesign activities.
During his time with Network Solutions he was promoted multiple times, and he finished as the Product Operations Manager for the Web Hosting division of the firm - a division which contributed more than a quarter of the overall company revenue. Here he piloted new product deployments, which consequentially generated over $2 million in revenue growth, while concurrently reducing costs by $200,000. Mr. Dykes' tenure with Network Solutions before moving to Neustar ended in May, 2011.[2]
Education
Roy received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Virginia, before also receiving an MBA.
