Nigel Cassimire is an independent Telecommunications/ICT consultant; since July 2005, he has been serving as the Telecommunications Specialist at the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU), an an inter-Governmental organisation with its Secretariat in Port of Spain, Trinidad.The CTU is an observer member of the GAC at ICANN.[1] He has over 24 years of experience in telecommunication industry. He has extensive knowledge in telecommunications technologies and services and is now working in telecommunications policy development at the Caribbean Telecommunications Union Secretariat.[2] On his list of proudest life achievements, Cassimire includes leading "the project team that introduced cellular services to Trinidad and Tobago.".[3]

Events

Nigel attended LACNIC caribbean meetings in 2008 and 2009.[4][5] Since as early as December 2006, Cassimire has attended ICANN Meetings; as of ICANN 51 in Los Angeles, he had attended more than six. He has also attended ARIN, LACNIC, and the Caribbean IGF.[3]
