.boats is a new gTLD delegated in ICANN's new gTLD program. Dominion Enterprises (DERBoats, LLC) manages the TLD and is its Registry. The proposed application succeeded and was delegated to the Root Zone on 25 February, 2015.^[1]

A private auction conducted in November 2014 left DERBoats as the only applicant for the string.^[2]
