Matthieu Crédou is the Business Development Manager at AFNIC. He can speak French, English and Indonesian.[1] At AFNIC, he deals mostly with new gTLDs, following up customers with their application process, helping them design and understand their technical needs, and suggesting the right registry solution to fit the applicant's needs. He joined AfNIC in 2011.[2]

Matthieu began attending ICANN Meetings in 2007. His first was ICANN 30 in Los Angeles. He also attends INTA meetings and was involved in ECLID (Association of Cultural and Linguistic TLDs in Europe). In addition, he was involved with the JAS Working Group.[3]

Matthieu is interested in the application for .bzh, a community TLD for the Brittany (Bretagne/Breizh) region of France.[4] He has previously worked as a consultant on a pre-feasibility study for .bzh.[5]. He is a founding member of Association www.bzh, whose goal is to apply for .bzh.

Education

He holds a degree in Business and Marketing from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Rennes, France. He also participated to a Student Exchange program at University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.

Fun Facts

In recent years, Crédou has split his time between living in France and Indonesia (Bali). He first moved to Bali to work as the Marketing Manager of a wine and spirit company right out of university. He now has a vested interest in the affect of the New gTLD Program in that area of the world.[6]
