GREENICANN was initiated due to firm belief that the Internet needs to be sustainable seems ICANN is a significant part of the Internet infrastructure which contributes to climate change due to the energy consumed in its travel, servers and day to day root servers operation

To raise the awareness of Green initiative at ICANN to make it a carbon neutral organization

Goal

The objective of this document is to raise the issue for ICANN to consider the adoption of the major tenets of Corporate Social Responsibilities and a Green Manifesto so it’s integrated into the existing Five-year  strategic plans.

Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group. Represents the full range of non-commercial entities of the Internet (ICANN Bylaws). Not to be confused with the At-Large Advisory Committee.

At-Large Advisory Committee. Considers and provides advice on the activities of ICANN related to the interests of individual Internet users (ICANN Bylaws). Not to be confused with the Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group.

Commercial Stakeholder Group. Represents the full range of large and small commercial entities of the Internet, including the Business Constituency, Intellectual Property Constituency and the Internet Service Providers and Connectivity Providers Constituency (ICANN Bylaws).
