Ivan Moura Campos is the Founder and Partner of Akwan SA, though he is also a consultant on Information Technologies.[1] In addition, in 2010, Ivan Moura Campos was still a professor of computer science at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (MG) in Brazil.[2]

Professional Experience

  • Though Ivan continues to teach Computer Science at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, he was once also the Dean of Graduate Studies and Department Chairman;
  • Ivan Moura Campos worked in the government where he was Director of Special Programs at the National Research Council of Brazil;
  • He was the Coordinator of the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee in Brazil;
  • Ivan was Chairman of the Board of the .br registry;
  • He was a Director of ICANN from 2000 to 2003. [3]
  • In 2004, Ivan Moura Campos was appointed by the Nominating Committee to serve ICANN's annual meeting. [4]

Professional Achievements

Ivan Moura Campos was one of the creators of the model adopted in implementing Internet2 in the United States.[5]

Education

Ivan Moura Campos holds a Ph. D in the field of Computer Science from the University of California, UCLA. [6]
