Danny Aerts is the Managing Director and CEO at .SE, (The Internet Infrastructure Foundation) [1]
A native of the Netherlands, Danny Aerts moved to Sweden during thw mid 1990s. In 2006, he left his position as CEO at Swedish web portal Spray to join IIS.[2] He has also been employed at several telecom companies, including Unisource Mobile, Telia and PTT Telecom.
Since October 2008, he has been serving as Member of Board of Directors at EURid;[3] Aerts has also been serving as Member of Board of Directors at Followit since the same time.[4]
He graduated cum laude from Utrecht University, where he studied economic geography.[5]
Career History
- From August 1988 to January 1990,Danny Aerts worked as a Medewerker at STOGO.
- From February 1990 to April 1994, he worked as a Chef gebouwen en technische voorzieningen (Laatste funktie) at PTT Telecom.
- He was the Teamleader Customer Service at Telia Region Stockholm (exchange programma with KPN) during from 1994 to 1995.
- He was the Head of Practise Customer Management Unisource Mobile from 1995 to 1999.
- From January 2004 to February 2006, he served as the Managing Director at Spray Network AB.
- Since 2006 he has been serving as the CEO and Managing Director at .SE.
