Holly Raiche is the Executive Director of The Internet Society of Australia,[1] she has held that position since 2006. She has been the Vice-Chair of APRALO since 2011, and has been a member since 2006.[2]
Other Participation
She is a Visiting Fellow with the Cyberspace Law and Policy Centre [3], part of the Faculty of Law at the University of NSW, a member of the Consumers' Telecommunications Network Board, and a member of the Australian Privacy Foundation. She is also Council member of The Telephone Information Services Standards Council.[4]
Holly Raiche participated in ICANN's meeting in Sydney; and also in the ASIAPAC-ICANN At Large Asia Pacific conference.[5] Previously, she has disagreed over the The Joint Project Agreement between the United States government and ICANN.[6]
Career History
Prior to that, she was a Project Manager with the Communications Alliance; which included responsibility for the development of industry codes, and managing the Consumer and Disability Councils. She has been the communications advisor to the Australian Democrats and the Researcher and Policy Advisor for the Communications Law Centre, specilising in telecommunications issues. She has taught law at both undergraduate and graduate levels at UTS and UNSW Law faculties in the areas of communications law, electronic communications law and IT law.
