Nii Narku Quaynor is a former ICANN Board Director, a Member of the Internet Governance Forum Advisory Group at the United Nations, and Chairman of the Board of Directors at National Information Technology Agency. Quaynor is also a Member of the Internet Society of Ghana, Convener of the African Network Operators Group, was the Founding Chairman of AfriNIC, and was previously an Executive Chairman at AfTLD. He had also served as the Chairman of Network Computer Systems. Mr. Quaynor is the Chairman of Ghana Dot Com LTD, a position he has held since 2007. TANGO REGISTRY SERVICES was created in response to the historic passage of a new gTLD program by ICANN at its 41st meeting held in June, 2011 in Singapore. It is largely a registry software service wholly owned and distributed by Knipp Medien und Kommunikation GmbH, though they also provide certain hardware support. TANGO registry focuses entirely on Brand TLDs, that is, the new opportunities for brands to create their own .brand domain via the new gTLD program. They note that while most other standard registries have a diffuse chain of actors, including registry operators, registrars, and end users, a brand may now be the operator, administrator, and user of their own domain.
