Kannan Ayyar is the President of the Internet Systems Consortium. He has held this position since June, 2012.[1] He is an experienced executive with background in management of enterprise software companies, and expertise within the financial services, healthcare, and IT industries. Mr. Ayyar is also an offshore development expert, specifically regarding India.[2] Kannan Ayyar is also a frequent board member and angel investor, and has invested in over 20 early stage companies through his fund Mezzamie Group.[3]
His leadership experience in IT and software includes co-founding a number of ventures, such as Renaissance Software (1989) and Interweave Software (1996). The former provided software to 1/3 of the largest banks, and was sold to Sungard Data. The latter was acquired by Mr. Ayyar and repositioned in intra-net business software, it was later sold to Cognos.[4][5]
Kannan Ayar recieved his B.A. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley.[6]
