Tijani Ben Jemaa

Tijani Ben Jemaa is the Director of the Mediterranean Federation of Internet Associations (FMAI) (2007-); a member of the DotAfrica Steering Committee; the Vice Char of AFRALO (2009-); a member of ICANN's ALAC and its Executive Committee (2011-); Vice President of the Federation of African Organizations of Engineers (2005-); and the Vice-Chair of the Committee of Affirmation and Communications for the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (2003-) and Member of the Tunisian Engineers Order (1982). Mr. Jemaa also works with AfriNIC, and has been attending ICANN meetings since ICANN 32 in Paris.[1][2]

Previous positions include:

  • Deputy Secretary General of the Tunisian Engineers Order’s Board, 1995 – 1998
  • Secretary General of the Tunisian Engineers Order’s Board, 1998 – 2002
  • Member of the working group (appointed by the Prime Minister) in charge of defining a new channel for continuing learning for engineers, 2001 – 2002[3]
