Aminata Sy is the President of the Senegalese Next Generation Team, which is an extension of the Internet Society's Senegal Chapter and a joint project with the DiploFoundation. She has led the team since 2009, which brings together a group of young people to advocate the use of the Internet and IT solutions by fellow Senegalese youth and students.[1] Ms. Sy is the Head of the Information and Communication Department at the Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar. She is the former head of Multimedia Center at the Polytechnic School in Dakar.[2] Aminata Sy has an Computer Science Engineering background.
Ms. Sy attended ICANN Senegal.[3]
Career History
She was the Computer Support Engineer at Polytechnic School from 2007 to 2009, before becoming Manager of the school. Prior to which, she was a Webmaster at Challenge PRO for five months. Ms. Sy has worked as the Development Engineer at the Sonatel multimedia, as a developer at People Input and as a Systems and Information Services Engineer.[4]
