Dr. James Boorman has a background in Medical Research, Information Systems and Management. He has worked in research at UCL, IT Management at Cambridge and as a CIO in the Australian Government. He now works in the Oceania Cyber Security Centre (OCSC) Research team, where he leads the OCSC part of the Cyber Security Capacity Maturity Model for Nations (CMM) project in the region, in collaboration with the Global Cyber Security Capacity Centre (GCSCC) team at Oxford. He has published a number of peer reviewed papers; supervised industry based learning undergraduates; taught postgraduate students; developed and delivered training materials and workshops; presented internationally; and guest lectured at the post graduate level. James has a keen interest in capacity building and awareness programmes.
