GREENICANN was initiated because of a firm belief that the Internet needs to be sustainable and ICANN is a significant part of the Internet infrastructure. Unfortunately ICANN still contributes to climate change due to the energy consumed in its travel, servers and day to day operation of the DNS.

To raise the awareness of Green initiative at ICANN to make it a carbon neutral organization
Goal
The objective of this document is to raise the issue for ICANN to consider the adoption of the major tenets of Corporate Social Responsibilities and a Green Manifesto so it’s integrated into the existing Five-year strategic plans.
