Catherine Adeya is currently a member of the ICANN Board and has worked in technology and development for over 25 years, she is an experienced leader and advocate. Dr. Catherine Adeya is a Senior Digital Transformation and Governance Specialist, she has rich experiences across academia, civil society, government, and the private sector. She also coordinated a global research team that was dedicated to achieving a web that is safe and empowering for everyone. Catherine served as the Director of Business Process Outsourcing/Information Technology Enabled Services at Kenya's Ministry of ICT, in addition to serving as founder and CEO of the Konza Technopolis Development Authority. She was also appointed to the first Board of Directors of the Kenya ICT Board in 2007.
