.bq

.bq is the country code top-level domain for Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba (the Caribbean Netherlands), which are special municipalities of the Netherlands located in the Caribbean. "bq" was chosen as other possible codes had already been allocated. It was assigned in 2010 following the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles.

The .bq domain is not actively used for websites and the registry hasn't been established. Instead, these territories primarily use the Netherlands' domain extension .nl for their web presence. This is one of several ccTLDs that are reserved and in existence, but not actually in use. As of 2021, the domain is not open to the public for registration. Therefore, currently no one is able to buy a .bq domain name.[1] On the IANA page for the .bq delegation record, we have that the "domain is not present in the root zone at this time."[2]
