Fei Pang manages Asian domain name disputes for the law firm Genga & Associates P.C., which has filed arbitration actions in China with the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC); in Hong Kong with the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center (HKIAC); and in Taiwan with Taiwan Science & Technology Law Center (STLC). Their office is located in Sherman Oaks, California.[1]Mr. Pang also counsels clients regarding intellectual property-related issues under Chinese and Hong Kong Law.[2]
Fei is a native speaker of Mandarin, Cantonese and also understands the Wenzhou, Leizhou and other Chinese dialects; he also speaks English.
Career History
Fei Pang specializes in the legal aspects of domain name and information technology issues. He has trained in the legal systems of both the United States and China. Fei's deep familiarity with intellectual property enforcement in China is further enhanced by time spent on the staff of the one of China's largest Customs Departments (the Guangzhou Office) for 5 years. There he was responsible for handling complex international trade issues involving counterfeiting/gray market goods, anti-smuggling efforts, administrative reviews, and appeals of forfeitures and penalties.
Fei Pang is an active member of the California State Bar. Fei holds L.L.M. and J.D. degrees from the University of Iowa School of Law, as well as a Master of Laws (with Civil Procedure emphasis) from the Sun Yat-Sen (Zhongshan) University School of Law in China. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing.
Mr. Pang is also a highly-skilled legal research specialist, as he has clerked for accomplished research professors throughout his education. Fei is responsible for managing all of the complex legal research tasks for the firm's clientele.
Mr. Pang co-authored a book and several articles on international trade and customs issues relating to China.
