Patrick Vande Walle is a member of the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) and the Security and Stability Advisory Committee (SSAC), as well a member of the Board of Trustees of The Internet Society.

Early life

Born May 8, 1960, in Ronse (in French, Renaix), Belgium. He is also the founder of the DotSport Registry project, an applicant for the .sport Top Level Domain. Additionally, he is an official at the European Commission. He previously served on The Internet Society's board of trustees.

Previously, he held positions with Fnac, WordPerfect and Paribas bank in Brussels, Belgium. He was the founder and chairman of the Luxembourg chapter of The Internet Society.[1]
