Paul Brigner has been the North American Regional Bureau Director for the Internet Society since March 2012. He is a lawyer and a technologist who coordinates acitivities in the North American region for ISOC. He provides input on a range of the organization's operational activities, including public policy, technology, capacity building, and membership and resource development. One of his key iniatives is livestreaming Internet Society events in North America.[1][2]

Brigner is previously the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Policy Officer of the MPAA, or Motion Picture Association of America.[1]

As of ICANN 53 in Buenos Aires, he has attended over two ICANN Meeting and has lso attended IGF.[2]

Amongst his proudest life achievements are having had six diverse careers:[2]

  • Photographer / videographer
  • Soldier (U.S. Army)
  • Fitness instructor
  • Software developer/architect
  • Lawyer/lobbyist
  • ISOC regional bureau director (a category of its own!)

Brigner especially likes learning about new technologies, especially ones where he can have hands-on experience, and really enjoys photography and videography.[2]
