NIC Costa Rica is a nonprofit entity owned by Costa Rica's National Academy of Sciences.[1] It manages Costa Rica's .cr ccTLD.
Registration Restrictions[edit | edit source]
Registrants with no physical presence in Costa Rica may register names under the TLD .cr and the second level domain .co.cr. The following second level domains are restricted to registrants with a physical presence in the country:[2]
- .ac.cr (universities and research entities)
- .ed.cr (primary and secondary education)
- .fi.cr (financial services)
- .go.cr (government)
- .or.cr (nonprofit & voluntary orgs)
- .sa.cr (heath care providers)[3]
