Lily Edinam Botsyoe is a Ph.D. student in Information Technology, part of UC’s inaugural Presidential Fellowship Program, and a former Adjunct Instructor. She is an ardent contributor to technology communities and speaks widely on issues relating to the internet with a particular interest in Women and Youth Inclusion, Accessibility, Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Digital Sustainability. She has experience working with security frameworks and regulations such as GDPR, ISO27001, NIST 800, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.

As a believer in the power of technology to accelerate development, her work focuses on human-centered approaches to building technology that ignites real impact for users. Lily grounds her strategies in the principles of digital inclusion and solutions focused on sustainability and scale.

In the Internet Governance and policy space, Lily coordinates the Ghana Youth Internet Governance Forum and is a member of the steering committee for West Africa and Africa Youth Internet Governance Forum.

Her background comprises formal education and policy advocacy training acquired through participation in several internet-focused programs. As an active participant in these initiatives, she was exposed to the foundations of the internet, which include infrastructure needs like IP Address Management and the expansion plans for IPv6 as resources are being depleted. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, which introduced her to concepts related to internet number resources and routing security. This knowledge was further developed by her participation in the ICANN Next Gen 77 program and ARIN 51 fellowship which led to her engagement as a MANRS Program Auditor Intern with the Internet Society this past summer.
