Matthieu Crédou is the Business Development Manager at AFNIC and a Consultant at Auto-Entrepreneur. He can speak French and English.[1] At AFNIC, he deals mostly with New gTLDs, following up customers with their application process, helping them design and understand their technical needs, and suggesting the right registry solution to fit the applicant's needs. He joined AfNIC in 2001.[2]

Matthieu began attending ICANN Meetings in 2007. His first was ICANN 30 in Los Angeles. He also attends INTA meetings and was involved in ECLID (Association of Cultural and Linguistic TLDs in Europe). In addition, he was involved with the JAS Working Group.[3]

Crédou is interested in the application for .bzh, a GeoTLD for the Brittany (Bretagne/Breizh) region of France.[4] He has previously worked as a consultant for Bretagne Prospective, an organization that conducted a pre-feasibility study for .bzh.[5]

Career History

Mr. Crédou joined AfNIC in 2011. In 2009, he was the Official Representative of Assocation www.bzh for 11 months during which he also attended ICANN Los Angeles. He owned kikan from 2005 to 2008. He has also served as a Responsable Commercial at Société Tseng and as a Marketing executive at Moet Hennessy Asia Pacific.[6]

Fun Facts

In recent years, Crédou has split his time between living in France and Indonesia (Bali). As such, he has a vested interest in the affect of the New gTLD Program in that area of the world.[7]

Education

He holds a degree in Marketing from the University of Queensland.
