Dr. Johannes Loxen is Co-Founder and CEO of SerNet[1], Chair of the Supervisory Board at AUDEG[2] and Advisory Board member at several startups and developed companies.

SerNet[edit | edit source]

In 1996 Johannes Loxen founded SerNet, focused on internet security from day one and offering firewalls and VPN services to midsize and large companies and public institutions. SerNet believes in the power of Open Source software and technologies. In addition and driven by customers' requests SerNet focuses on SAMBA+[3], an Open Source software stack for Linux/Windows interoperability. Internet security needs Compliance and Risk management and SerNet decided to establish an own software called verinice, the only Open Source ISMS-Tool currently in the market for ISO 27001, BSI Baseline Security and GDPR data protection rules and laws.

Dr. Loxen earned his Diploma in Physics (1991), PhD in Astro-Physics (1996), and he studied physics and law at GAUG[4].
