Pascal Bekono

Pascal Bekono is an IT Consultant at DSTC International. He is involved in ICANN's At-Large issue.[1] As a consultant, he has worked with German Technical Cooperation in Cameroon, and international NGOs focused on poverty reduction strategy papers, millennium development goals, and ICT for development and fair trade.

Mr. Bekono was a 2005 World Summit on the Information Society youth Country Coordinator in partnership with TakingITGlobal and the Canadian Government. Other international fora he has participated in include work as a delegate of La Francophonie to the Global Forum on Youth and ICT for development, which was organized by the U.N. and the ITU in Geneva, 2007; and the World Youth Congress (Quebec); Japan Youth Forum for Development (Tokyo, 2008); Mr. Bekono won a scholarship to attend the 3rd International ICT for Development (Doha, 2009).[2] Pascal Bekono took part in DiploFoundation's Internet Governance Capacity Building Programme in 2008. He was a fellow at the European Summer School on Internet Governance.[3] He is a frequent attendee, participant, organizer, and speaker at IGF meetings, including IGF 2007 - 2009.[4]

Pascal Bekono was an ICANN Fellow at ICANN 45 in Toronto and ICANN 49 in Singapore.[5]

Pascal Bekono is a Computer Science graduate from the University of Yaoundé, Cameroon.
