Karel Douglas is an ICANN Fellow who is primarily interested in legal matters.[1]

He has been an ICANN Fellow numerous times, starting in 2013 at ICANN 49 in Singapore. He was also a fellow at ICANN 54 in Dublin and ICANN 50 in London.

He is a member of the NCSG and actively involved in NCUC discussions.

ICANN 47 in Durban was his first ICANN meeting.[1]

Career History[edit | edit source]

Karel is an attorney at law. He is a Senior State Counsel at the Office of the Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago. He was Head of Legal at the National ICT Company of Trinidad and Tobago from 2011 to 2013. He was also Licensing Specialist and acted as Legal Adviser at the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT) from 2005 to 2008.[2]

Karel has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London (LLB) and the Legal Certficate from the University of the West Indies (LEC). He has a Masters of Law in Information Technology and Telecommunications (LLM) from the University of Strathcylde.[2]
