Application Details[edit | edit source]

The following is excerpted form the applicant's response to question #18:

"Asia Green IT System Bilgisayar San. ve Tic. Ltd. Sti. (AGITSys) is applying for the .TCI TLD global top level domain (“gTLD”). AGITSys is authorized by the company to apply for this TLD by the company. AGITSys will act as the Registry Operator, and outsource Registry Services to CoCCA Registry Services (NZ) Limited (“CoCCA”). The .TCI gTLD will operate as a closed gTLD, meaning AGITSys will always be the registrant and the TLD will not be open to third parties to register second level domains. TCI is well-known among the company’s customers, especially those outside their established service area. With an eye towards growing business abroad, TCI has entrusted AGITSys with the development of the TCI gTLD. TCI partners in other countries use TCI as the abbreviated name of the company so it will be easily recognized among the target audience for this gTLD. By using the .TCI TLD with partners and customers around the world, they can be assured that they are connected to TCI in a reliable, stable, accurate and secure way. In addition, AGITSys will use the .TCI TLD to promote services and offerings worldwide to potential customers and audiences in an international way. Current plans are for most of the websites to be developed in non Persian languages, including English, so that people across the globe can become more familiar with the TCI brand."[3]
