Gerard Best is a Development Journalist covering technology-related issues including Internet governance, telecommunications regulations, spectrum management, infrastructure development, IXP proliferation, IPv6 transition, cybersecurity frameworks, technological innovation, digital entrepreneurship and technical capacity building.
He regularly takes part in Internet Development meetings across the Americas, coordinated by the Caribbean Network Operators Group (CaribNOG), the Caribbean Telecommunications Union, the Latin America and Caribbean Internet Registry (LACNIC), the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the Internet Society.
He is a member of the Coordinating Team of the Caribbean Network Operators Group (CaribNOG), providing Communications support for international Internet Development meetings across the Caribbean region.
