A researcher and advocate of government and corporate transparency in cyber policies, I manage the Transparency Project hosted by the Journalism and Media Studies Centre at The University of Hong Kong. The project has published the Hong Kong Transparency Report every two years since 2014, looking at the Hong Kong government's requests to obtain personal data and to remove content in cyberspace. Privacy, speech rights and freedom of information are main concerns of the Report. I am also interested in the transparency of Chinese ICT companies, and conducted a research based on the methodology built by the Ranking Digital Rights project.
