Winston Roberts is a senior advisor on public policy issues in the information society, at the National Library of New Zealand (NLNZ). From 1987 to 1998 he worked for IFLA, particularly during the 1990s as IFLA’s Coordinator of Professional Activities. In 2003 and 2005 he was a member of the New Zealand government delegation at the two World Summits on the Information Society: he contributed to the writing of the Geneva WSIS ‘Principles’. Currently he deals with external relations of the NLNZ, and is a member of the Asia-Pacific Regional Standing Committee of IFLA. Since 2013 he has convened IFLA workshops at the annual meetings of the Asia-Pacific regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF).
