My current role as a Systems & Network Engineer at Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) includes: Network security; Fortinet Firewall; VPN; IPS & IDS; Windows servers; Network monitoring; DNS Server; Email Exchange Server; Active Directory; Wireless Network; Network infrastructure upgrade; Systems and Network maintenance; Design network solutions; and provide IT Training for staff.
In my previous position as Senior Engineer ISP in Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL), I led the ISP team in the area of Operations and Management and strategically planned for the ISP team. My role involved: task allocation; project scheduling and resource management; planning, budgeting and reporting on projects; making presentations on project status; estimate project budgets and plan for purchasing of equipment and hardware in a cost-effective way. On a Technical capacity my job description involved: assigning IPv4 public addresses on TFL's ISP network; configuring IPv6 on all TFL routers and switches; work on servers – Linux, DNS, Email, DHCP; maintaining the ISP Network Security and Firewalls; and work on the WiFi network.
