Anja Gengo currently works with the Secretariat for the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), as a focal point for the national, regional and youth IGF initiatives. Prior to joining the IGF Secretariat, she worked as a legal analyst at a Law Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is one of the co-founders of the Centre for Media Law, where she worked as an Internet policy analyst and programme coordinator.

Ms. Gengo is a 10-year experienced debater, trainer and judge for the Karl Popper and British Parliamentary debate formats and a winner of many national and international debate related tournaments. She holds a bachelor degree in Law and a master degree in International Law, with her research being focused on the clash between new technologies and law. Additionally, her professional focus is the multistakeholder process for discussing Internet governance.

She is an alumni of the Monroe E. Price programme in Comparative Media Law and Policy from University of Oxford and Annenberg School of Communication.
