Kaili Kan

Dr. Kaili Kan is a Professor at the Beijing University of Posts & Telecommunications.[1] He is the Director of China's Information Industry Policy and Development Institute and Commissioner of the Advisory Commission for China's Telecommunications Act.[2] Kan is also the Capacity Development Officer at the International Institute for Communication and Development.[3]

Kaili is a member of the Expert Group on Emerging ICT Developments and Opportunities for Enhancing Cooperation for Regional Connectivity. This group is part of the United Nations Economic and Social Comission for Asia and the Pacific.[4]

Dr. Kan is a Director of China VoIP & Digital Telecom.[5] He is also an Independent Director at the China Intelligence Information Systems Inc. (CIISI).[6]

Kan recieved his Ph.D from Stanford University in 1984. In 1987, he was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Economic & Technological Development Research Center (ETDRC) of the Chinese Ministry of Posts & Telecommunications (MPT).[7] As its Deputy Director, he was responsible for the research on telecommunication policy and development strategy in China.

He has also made presentations at the International Conference on Signal and Information Processing, 2010.[8]
