Wendy Profit

Wendy Profit is Senior Manager of Board Operations at ICANN, managing operational functions and logistics for the ICANN Board of Directors. She joined ICANN in 2009.[1] She has previously served in a variety of roles including Registry Services Product Manager within the DNS Industry Operations department and Executive Assistant of Stakeholder Relations at ICANN, working under Kurt Pritz.

She developed and launched the Centralized Zone Data Service (CZDS) based on the prior work of the Zone File Access Working Group (ZFA-WG).

Wendy has attended dozens of ICANN meetings including ICANN 40 in support of the GAC by managing remote participation for its meetings.

Career History

Prior to joining ICANN, Profit was the Executive/Personal Assistant to the President of DreamHammer, Inc., a technology services government contracting office. In this position, she assisted and advised the President on strategies and policies, acted as a liaison with design team and executives, and managed projects. She has also served as the Executive Assistant to the Chairman/Founder/CEO at Operation HOPE, Inc., a global non-profit whose mission is financial literacy (2004-2007). Prior to this, Wendy was a Producer at In the Pocket Productions (2001-2004), producing live music shows and creating a short film about musicians on the road, while also serving as EA/IT Tech Assistant at International Education Research Foundation, Inc (2002-2003). From 1995 until 1998, she was Assistant to the President of BMG Classics/RCA/Red Seal, and Sales Assistant at BMG Distribution in New York, NY. She has also worked in Driver Resources at Allen Freight Trailer Bridge.[2]

Education

She holds a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida.
