Mona Elswah is currently a Doctoral student at the Oxford Internet Institute (OII) at the University of Oxford, where she studies how social media could be used to manipulate public opinion. Mona joined the Computational Propaganda Project at the OII as a Research Assistant with a focus on the Middle East. Before joining Oxford University, Mona was awarded a Ford Foundation fellowship to study a dual degree program at the American University in Cairo. She received a Master’s degree in journalism and mass communication and a Graduate Diploma in public policy. She has presented research papers in major conferences such as the IAMCR and the ICA. Mona was selected as a fellow to attend the ICANN61 meeting in San Juan
