Greg Mounier works for the European Cybercrime Centre (EC3) of EUROPOL (the European Police Agency) where he leads the Outreach team. He is responsible for EC3's strategic engagement with the private sector with a view to support EC3's operational teams in combatting cybercrime. Greg also leads EUROPOL's policy engagement on Internet Governance.

Career History edit

Greg joined the office of the Director of Europol as a policy advisor in 2008 to deal with EUROPOL's external relations. In 2010 he became team leader of the External and Strategic Affairs unit where he was in charge of devising and implementing Europol's stakeholder management strategy. He also led Europol's strategic relations with the US and the European Parliament. He advised the Director on cybercrime and terrorism policies and worked on the establishment of the European Cybercrime Centre in 2013 and the EU Internet Referal Unit (EU IRU) in launched in 2015. He joined the European Cybercrime Centre in 2015.

ICANN and Internet Governance Participation edit

Greg is a member of the GAC Public Safety Working Group of ICANN (PSWG) where he focuses on the reform of the WHOIS (NG RDS PDP). He is also involved in the RIPE community, IGF and EuroDIG where he represents the law enforcement community interests and advocates for a rapid transition to IPv6.

Greg has a PhD in Politics and a MA in European politics from the College of Europe.
